Good job deserves praises. I'm attesting to the fact that Jim whom I got the pleasure of knowing through a paralegal friend of ours, did us solid. I had an accident with my 2010 Yamaha R1 custom made by Nick Anglada, Yamaha motors and Palm Casino. Progressive totaled it and tried to low ball me with less than what a used 2010 Yamaha R1 motorcycle cost. I had only 5666 miles on the bike. With the help of Jim, he contacted Nick Anglada whom he didn't even know at first and was able to put together an appraisal and fought with progressive appraiser and got a wonderful deal for me. I was PCSing to Germany, Jim came and picked up the motorcycle to his garage at no cost to me and assisted in shipping the bike back to me in Germany after everything was settled as I bought the bike back from progressive. His dedication and commitment was unwavering. His communication with me was superb; I have to say I'm glad I got to know Jim. I will recommend him to anyone of my friends. It's better to let a professional private appraiser like Jim, handle any claims with insurance especially if your vehicle or motorcycle has a value more than the normal vehicles especially custom made or antique type. I recently had a car accident when my car was totaled. My personal insurance completed their appraisal on the value of my car which I felt was low. Jim Amundsen was referred to me by Ruth Miller from Attorney Harold Carr's Law Firm. I had been looking for a 1957 Chevy hardtop for quite awhile and the one I fell I love with of course happened to be 1400 miles away... with my work and schedule there was no way of getting out to look at it. I found Jim and he put my mind at ease right away when I talked to him on the phone. I could tell he was a car guy, like me, and he understand my concerns and what I was looking for in the car. I decided to have Jim go look at it for me and he took tons of pics of it, told me where any imperfections were and what he truly thought of the car and even made me a 28 page write up on it for my insurance! Absolutely delighted with the pre-purchase inspection service provided by Jim from start to finish. Email communications were answered very quickly and always very informative and explained everything. The actual report provided to me answered almost every question or laid to rest doubts I had on the vehicle and the phone call after again was informative and honest. Based on the report and conversations with Jim I have decided to go ahead and purchase. After having my truck totalled by another party I found myself fighting with my insurance company over the value of my vehicle. Having my truck since it was new and continually upgrading and customizing it I knew I was going to lose, insurance companies are notorious for producing the lowest possible value of the totalled vehicle.

My 1993 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible GTC was involved in an accident. Because the vehicle was 25 years old the insurance company wanted to make it a ‘total loss’. The car had a little over 77,000 miles and looked brand new and was not really hurt that badly. I did not know which way to turn. A friend suggested to call Jim at Automotive Consulting Group. I am a “shy boy”, barely make comments online and response any after service survey. But I feel should say something this time, my “brand new” Lexus RX 350 (bought in several months and only has two thousand miles on it) had a rear hit collision on freeway. It was sent to body shop specialized for Lexus, first they promised to fix it in several weeks, but later they found it wasn’t worth to repair and claim as total loss. Since they have spent lots of time on evaluation and bought almost up to 8k parts, the negotiation with Allstate was not easy from the beginning. My attorney suggested me to ask for a personal appraiser, I took their advice and call Jim Amundsen. I am so glad I made this decision. I can’t imagine whole negotiation with insurance without him. He is a very diligent and hard-working person. After two months barging with Allstate, we amazingly got compensation more than we expected. A happy ending for an unfortunate event.
